Upon receiving the news of my brother's accident, I experienced a lot of emotions:
This motorcycle accident took away more than just the life of one person. It took away a brother, a father, a son, a husband, an uncle, a cousin, a neighbor, and a friend.
I doubt that I will ever experience another moment as depressing and terrifying as the moment when I learned that Nathan had died.
The worst part is that my situation is not unique. Everyday someone else experiences that same range of emotions after a motorcycle accident.
There is nothing I can do to bring Nathan back. But there is something that I can do to make sure that other people don't experience this same situation. I have been given a strange blessing. I have the opportunity to share my story in the hopes of preventing other people from creating their own.
